GZU: First semester to start in February

First semester to start in February
The 2016 first semester for conventional students is set to start on 29 February, a month earlier than usual, the Deputy Registrar for Academic Affairs, Mr Innocent Chiyemba has announced. It will end on 10 June.
Explaining the reasons behind the change in the semester dates, Mr Chinyemba the changes were done to enable students to have ample time to rest between semesters. Normally students would go on vacation for about a month but with the new dates they will have about two-month’s rest since the second semester will commence on the 15th of August.
The Deputy Registrar also said the enrolment of first year students has been impressive. He said the enrolment of new students has been extended to accommodate more prospective students following the recent release of release of the ZIMSEC and Cambridge November 2015 ‘A’ Level results.
Orientation for new students has been set for 22 and 23 February 2016 while returning students have been urged to register before the semester starts to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
