Construction of the Robert Mugabe School of Education is going at a fast pace and work on the first phase of the School has reached an advanced stage. The first phase which incorporates three 400-seater lecture theatres is expected to be fully functional by the end of February 2016.
Work on the prestigious Robert Mugabe School of Education, which is located in the West View Light Industrial Area of the City of Masvingo, started in May last. The School has been aptly named Robert Gabriel Mugabe School of Education in recognition of the iconic President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Robert Gabriel Mugabe and his vast contribution to education. Throughout his life, President Mugabe has fought to ensure that every Zimbabwean has access to affordable and good quality education.
The University’s Department of Works and Estates with the assistance of the Department of Manpower Training and Development are currently constructing the iconic School. As at mid-January 2016, construction of three huge lecture theatres and some offices was nearing completion.
